IMPORTANT PROPOSALS. United Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, Jan. 14. The “Standard” * reports that a strong committee of Alberta stock raisers has addressed the Dominion Minister of Agriculture in favor of establishing chilling plants and packing houses throughout the west, cold storage depots at Montreal, and an open winter port with the view of pplacing the meat export trade in a position equal to that of Australia and New Zealand. The committee to form a company, with a capital of 8,000,000 dollars, whereof the Government /will ibe asked to guarantee 4 per cent, upon six million dollars.
