POSSIBLE REDUCTION O,F RATES.

Sir J. W. Taverner has requested the Chamber pf Commerce to consider the port of London rates upon colonial produce, particularly perishable articles, with the view of a possible rcduc* tion of some of the suggested maximum rates. It is expected the schedule will bo submitted to Parliament in March.
