THE SELECTION OF EXAMINERS
[Peu Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Jan. 24.' At tlie meeting of the University Senate this morning, Mi’. Jas. Allen moved, “That it is advisable to appoint some of the examiners (now selected m Ellwand) from residents in New Zealand. Further, that the matter be referred to the November examiners committee.” Dir. Hogben moved as an amendment, and Dir. Allen accepted it, “That the question of appointing examiners from .residents of New Zealand or elsewhere, instead of residents in England, lie referred without prejudice to the committee set up to consider the B.A. and B.Sc. degrees.” This, after discussion, was lost by 13 to 6.
