NEW ZEALAND MENAGERIE.
A KILBIRXIE RESIDENT'S •v SPECULATION. (PER PitEfifl Association.! WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. A resident of Kilbirne, Air. J. J. Boyd, landed here yesterday with a valuable collection of wiki animals, one of the most interesting seen in any part of the world. According to present arrangements, tli-3 collection in intended for the garden and menagerie Air. Boyd has at Aramoho, Wanganui.. The menagerie is headed by two fine lions, a Bengal tiger, two great Indian hears, two springbok, small antelope, two cranes, two bald-headed American eagles, four South American parrots; from Sydney Zoo, a collection of monkeys and opossums, also numerous birds. Two pumas are in Sydney on the way. An elephant, a buffalo, a cheetah, and a couple of Polar bears will shortly lie imported. Mr Boyd lias made an offer to take over the Wellington Zoo and bring it thoroughly up-to-date.
