GERMANY AND BRITAIN.

CABLE NEWS.

.. WHERE EXPERTS DIFFER. ilnitkd Press Association —Copyright BERLIN, Jan. 26. Count Reventlow, German naval expert, in an article in the “Deutsche Tagei Zcitung,” states that Lord Fisher left his successor a fleet prepared in the fullest measure for war, also fully equal to the future. The naval correspondent of the “Hamburger Nachrichten” recommends secrecy regarding the potential output of Essen. Uncertainty is favorable to Germany, inasmuch as the enemy would be unable to calculate the number of battleships likely to be added to the German fleet before war had reached a decisive stage. Lord Charles Beresford, speaking at Dartford, said that 11.M.5. Invincible, commissioned in March, had never been able to fire her 12-inch guns. If war threatened the Invincible would be ordered to dock and her crew transferred to another ship.
