GISBORNE CLUB.
The final’ race for the Schumacher Cup and medals was rowed last evening between Somervell, Wheeler, Donald, and L. Bright, and Hansen, Richards, McConville, and Jeffreys. The crews got away well together, and for the greater part of the journey kept together. Hansen’s crew just succeeded in getting first past the post by about three-quarters of a length. The following crews have been selected to row for the Muir Cup. The races will commence in about a fortnight:—Bavly, Gully, W. S. Coleman, and L. Bright; Curtis, Wheeler, McLernon, and A. M. Coleman, Hansen, G. H. Puflett, J. Pollock, and Jeffreys; P. Hamilton, Grenfell, McConville, and Quigley; Warren, H. M. Puflett, C. Morse, and G,'Pollock; G. R. Buscke, Tocker, Busby, and SobttE. Traill, Richards, Donald, and Rangi. The following crews,.Were, selected to compete for the Post N and Telegraph trophy in the B grade double sculls: Everiss and Wylli-e, Gallop and Reddell, Rutherford and Miller, Dalgety and Dawson, Payne and deLautour, Mulvihill and Winter, Hudson and' Malone, Brownlee and Fraser.
