BOXING.
GISBORNE BOXING CLUB. A semi-private display Avas given by the members of : the .Gisborne Boxing Club last night in the club rooms above Mr. Gordon’s shop, in Gladstone Road. There Avas a large audience, and several most interesting three-round .bouts were witnessed, the pupils displaying greatly improved form on that shown in the last exhibition. A general meeting of the members of the club Avili be held on Wednesday night next to consider, amongst other matters, the,. question of draAving up rules, and of'affiliation with the Boxing Association,; also the appointment of a' secretary. t The membership, of the club has greatly ‘ inerbaked, -and with some excellent material to work on, the venture promises to be a success.
