GISBORNE RIFLES. Class-firing at ranges 300 and 500 yards will take place on the Kaiti range this afternoon, in connection Avith the Gisborne Rifles. HAWKE’S BAY RIFLE ASSOCIATION. The wind Avas light, but variable, The principal scorers Avere: Dannevirke Match, 7 shots at 500 and 600 yards. —Rifleman N. Willoughby (Gladstone), £2 10s, 66; Sergeant Head (Napier), £1 10s, 65; Rifleman D. A. McLean (Maraekaho), £l, 64. Napier Match, 7 shots at 600 and 700 yards.—Sergeant A r ates (Napier), £2 10s, 63; Private Tong (Hastings), £1 10s, 61; Sergeant Head (Napier), £l, 61. WaipaAva Match, 7 shots at 800, 900, and 1000 yards.—Rifleman C. Williams (Ohura), £2 10s, 90; Sergt. McLeod (Hastings), £1 10s, 89; Rifleman Cameron (Opaki), £l, 86. Mr. J, D. Rivers’ silver cup for the highest scorer in the Hastings and Napier matches AA-as Avon by .Sergeant James (Nnpier), with an aggregate score of 160. Mr. F. L. Bone’s cup for the highest scorer in the WaipaAA r a and Dannevirke matches Avas won by Sergeant Balfour (Napier) with 149. Mr. !H. Campbell’s cup for tyros was won by Rifleman Currie (Ohura) with 287. The best aggregates were: Sergeant James (Napier) 304, Sergeant Humphries- (Hastings) 294. Mr. W. Lane’s "championship belt and gold medal for the highest aggregate were,-won bp Sergeant James with 304. a. ’ .
