ANOTHER “INFANT” GAMBLER, WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. A bookmaker, named Paddy Gharden for betting with an infant, Avas fined £l2, with costs, YOUNG BURGLARS COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. Two’ lads, named Maurice Pointon and Joseph Haughey, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court to-day to thirteen charges of breaking and entering and stealing goods valued at about £33. They Avere committed for sentence. NEW ZEALAND INSTITUTE. The annual meeting of the NeAv Zealand Institute Avas held yesterday. The statement of accounts shoAved receipts £936, including £392 balance from ’ast year and £SOO Government grant, .'.he expenditure A\-as £534, the balance in the bank being £402.
