CYCLING

ORMOND BICYCLE RACE

A cycling road race under the auspices of the Ormond Bicycle Club took place yesterday evening, the course being from the Ormond Hotel to Scott’s cutting and back, a distance of eight miles. There were seven starters. The road was in very good order, and creditable time was made. The winner was C. Lowe (scr), whose riding time was 24min 40sec. _ F. Bowes (60 sec) was second, his riding time being 25min 50sec; L. Clapp (210 see) was third, with 29min. Mr. Condon was the starter, and that genUeman and Mr. H. Anderson acted as judges.
