The “Daily Mail” says that the policy of‘Sir A. K. Wilson, the new First Sea Lord of the Admiralty, differs from tliat of Lord Fisher. He is convinced that the need of the navy is not so much Dreadnoughts as armored cruisers. He is also indisposed to continue wholesale scrapping of vessels. Lord Fisher bequeathed a programme for the coming year, including only four Dreadnoughts. The “Daily Mail” adds that at the end of 1912 Britain will have 20 Dreadnoughts and 44 PreDreadnoughts, compared with Germany’s 13 Dreadnoughts and 21 PreDreadnoughts.
