PREPARATIONS FOR THE ELECTION. [Per Press Association.] LONDON, Feb. 9. Brisk preparations are being made for the London County Council elections in March. A great struggle is foreshadowed.
[The aldermen retiring this year are: A. Fowell Buxton, W. W. Thompson, and E. White (Muncipal Reformers); B. Cooper, H. L. Jephson, Rev. J. Scott Lidgett, W. E. Mullins, V. S. Sanders, Lewen Sharp, and A. J. Shopheard (Progressives). Tho Progressives are the representatives of the Conservative party. At the election in 1907, 38 Progressives, 79 Reformers, and one Independent were returned.]
