MANGAPAPA SCHOOL PICNIC
A SUCCESSFUL GATHEIUXO
' The weather was glorious for picnicking yesterday, when the annual Mangapapa School picnic took place in ■Messrs Nossiter and Clark’s paddocks. Mangapapa. All the school children gathered at the site, together with a large number of parents, and all were there with the intention of enjoying themselves. ‘ The school committee had made all necessary arrangements for the day, and at the picnic they were ably assisted by a committee of ladies and the headmaster (Mr. R. Cole) and the teaching staff. The catering had been carried out by the ladies, and was everything that could be desired for a picnic. Games and races were indulged in during the day, and before the gathering broke up the school prizes were distributed, as follows: Attendance. —First-class certificates and medals: Olga Godfrey, .John Watson, Thomas Cochrane.
