Advice has been received that "the Wakefield leaves Durban on Monday to prosecute the Waratali search.
THE PRIMACY OF AUSTRALIA
A deadlock has occurred over the election of Primate. The Archbishops of Sydney and Brisbane each secured eight votes, and the Archbishop of Melbourne three. The Primacy has consequently been left in abeyance.
NEW SOUTH WALES PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.
Bishop Camidge, acting-Primate, in an interview, said he thought there was uo more satisfactory system than the public school system of New South Wales.
A CAPTAIN’S CERTIFICATE SUSPENDED.

The certificate of Captain liishop, master of the steamer Eden, has oecn suspended for six months from the <'u*:e of the stranding of the steamer.
WATERING THE MILK. In connection with a prosecution lor selling milk below standard quality, one of the defendant’s carters admitted watering the milk himself and thereby profiting. He declared that it was a general practice among milk carters.
