SOUTHERN MINERS RESUME WORK TO-DAY.
United Press Association —Copyright (Received February 13, 5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 13. The Southern miners’ ballot resulted : For the resumption of work tomorrow, 1135; against, 656. The district secretary has issued instructions to the lodges to resume work in accordance with the vote.
NEW ZEALAND RAILWAY MEN SYMPATHISE WITH STRIKERS.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. The conference of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants sitting at Wellington, passed a, motion expressing indignation at the severity of the sentences inflicted on the leaders of the Newcastle coal strike. The conference also decided to take up a voluntary subscription amongst members of the Society in aid of the Newcastle strike fund.
