The Bank of France advances £4,000,000 free of interest, repayable in five years, for grants to sufferers by the £• oocl. The Government proposes to make loans to small tradesmen, not exceeding £2OO, free of interest.

Fourteen thousand one hundred houses in Paris, out of 85,000 have been effected by the flood.
