RESIGNATION OF MEMBER OF HAWKE’S BAY CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

(Per Press Association.! NAPIER, Feb. 14

Reference was made at the meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Charitable. Aid Board to-day to the matter of one of the members having supplied the Board with goods of a value over the statutory amount. The Chairman (Mr C. H. Cranbv) made a statement on the subject, in the course of which he emphatically denied that he was aware of the transaction, giving dates co show that he was away at the time. Mr. A. E. Eagleton, the -member in oucstion, forwarded his resignation, which was accepted.
