LARGE COAL RESERVE FORMED AT SYDNEY.

United Press Association—Copyright (Received February 16, 12.15 a.m.)' SYDNEY, Feb. 15.

The Admiralty has chartered the four-masted barque Garnet Hill “for three months for a coal reserve depot. The vessel has a capacity of 4000 tons. The coal will come from Westport, but the reason for laying in so large a store is unknown.

[The Garnet Hill arrived at Sydney from New York with oil on January 11th.]
