FATHER LE MENANT DES
CHESNAIS.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 15. The death is reported, from Temuka, of the Venerable Archpriest Le Monant des Chesnais, at the age of 74. He was born in France, and worked for many years as priest in the slums of London. He. came to Now Zealand in 1881, and was one of the founders of St. Patrick’s College. He was the [Writer- of a. number of books and pamphlets in defenceof religion.
