AN EX-LABOR M.P
United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, Feb. 15. Mr Pete Francis Curran, ex-Labor M.P., for Durham, is dead.
[Mr Curran was 50 years of age, a native oi Glasgow. He took a promir nent part in Labor matters, and was elected to Parliament in 1907.] A ROYAL ACADEMICIAN.
(Received February 16, 9.45 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 16. The death is announced of John Macallan Swan, Royal Academician. [John Macallan Swan began exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 187 S. He studied at the Worcester School of Art and the Lambeth Art School, also in Paris. -He was elected an honorary member of the Dutch Water Color Society in 1884, and received honors at Paris and Munich.]
