fin the States-General, General Baron Van Heeclceren. asked the Foreign Minister (Dr M. Van Swinderen) to take steps for the guarantee of the integrity of tlio Netherlands. He declared that tJiis was necessary, because a neighboring sovereign had intimated a few years ago that he would be obliged to occupy Dutch territory unless Holland defended herself against Great Britain. The statement was followed by a denial on behalf of the Kaiser. - ]
