Air Quick’s postal reform scheme proposes the appointment of a board of administration and providing the necessary funds for short-dated loans.
BEAUFORT TRAIN DISASTER. A:t the Beaufont inquest the train examiner at Stawell gave evidence that he warned Gronn not to be so foolish as to proceed with a broken brake pipe. Gronn replied, “I have got a good, tight train, but I will look after it all right.”
IMPORTANT COAL DISCOVERY

The manager of the Abermain colliery reports striking a seam of coal, 23 feet thick, three and a-half miles from the present pit-head. It is estimated to yield 6000 tons daily..
