THE RESUMPTION OF WORK
United Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, Feb. 19.
In a- statement handed to the press the Northern owners show that they have no intention of accepting an unequivocal resumption of work. It makes it clear that the owners’terms of granting a conference are that when the Wages Board meets again the miners must submit their grievances and the ipits must- be ready to receive the miners on Wednesday morning r.»'d the miners ready to go to work at the usual time under the old conditions. When these conditions are complied with the Wages Board will '-hen proceed with its work. The resumption of work is at South Clifton <'tv. The Southern miners are idle, being blocked by an old standing local difficulty.
