The Harbor Board, at a meeting in committee last night, decided to blast the shoal in Rangitoto Channel upon which the Kaipara struck, and to ask the assistance of the Defence' Department for that purpose. It was also decided to make various alterations to the positions of the buoys in the channel as recommended by the harbormaster.
