CANNIBALISM IN NEW HEBRIDES.
AN UNFORTUNATE CREW

Noumean news states that when the St. Joseph was recruiting at the island of Voa, natives fomed an ambush and shot down five of the ketch’s native crew, three fatally, and two being severely injured.
A report has been received from Ambvm, New Hebrides, that cannibalism is again being practised. Recently, after the funeral of a chief, 'his wives were butchered and eaten.
