CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 21

The Linwood Rifles have won the seniox- shield for this district every year since 1903. On Saturday they started with a minority of 45 points, but shot brilliantly, and won from the Engineers by 100 points. Captain King scored 93 at 800 and 900 yards, and the team’s total for ten men was 821.
