POVERTY BAY CLUB
The semi-final for the President’s Trophies was concluded last evening. M. McLeod, W. Hall, E. AVhitfield, and 0. Hansen, a strong crew with plenty of weight and dash, defeated S. Doig, H. .Williams, M. Sceats, and N. Ingram, rather easily, rowing in very steadily and winning by a good length and a (half. The final takes place this evening, the crews to fight out the finish being C. Clark, T. Parker, J. O’Neill, B. Carton and M. McLeod, AV. Hall, E. AVhitfiekl, and 0. Hansen. The race should, if the weather be favorable, be one of the best' of the season.
