An Invercargill resident, who lias rein mod from the Lakes, informed the “Southland Times” that in the Mutaura River at Fairlight, near Kingston, not a drop of water ’tfas visible, while usually there is a considerable volume running. Five miles down, at Garston, there was a fair quantity drawn from the gullies. The-.condition of the river shows that the drought had 1 been quite exceptional for that part of the Dominion . An irritated ‘throat is ouickly soothed by Z.ymole Trokeys. They increase the throat secretions and strengthen the vocal cords. 1 Nothing better for public speakers.
