THE PROMOTERS’ LUNCHEON

A luncheon was held in the Savoy Hotel in connection (with .the promotion of the -proposed Pageant of the Empire. Lord Plymouth presided, -ana the company numbered 200, including Lords Desborough, Wen lock, Kinnaird, and Barnard, many commercial representative -men, a- number of Australians, and other overseas representatives. Earl Grey and Lord Selbomo sent cablegrams, and Lord Crewe a letter, -warmly supporting the project. The principal speakers were Lora Plymouth, the Duke of Marlborough, and Sir Peter Bain.
