NAPIER CUP NOMINATIONS
[Per Press Association.] NAPIER, Feb. 24. The Napier Park Racing Club have received the following nominations for the Napier Cup, IT miles: —Berengaria, Swimming Belt, Taitoko, Bollin, Woodbey, Lamsdorff, Clemora, Ivopu, Parable, Sir Frisco, Tupaea, Bridge, Sandstream, Waiapaku, and Osiris.
DUNEDIN RACES. DUNEDIN, Feb. 24. Splendid weather prevailed for the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s autumn meeting, and the attendance was good. Seventeen bookmakers wore licensed, and the total isator receipts amounted to £6198 10s, or £307 more than for the corresponding day last year. The stewards held an inquiry into. G. Jo Pine’s riding of All Guns in- the Publicans’ Handicap on the first day, and disqualified him for six mouths, for crossing Flitaway in particular. The results of to-day’s races were: Hindon Hurdles,. l| miles.—Stayboy 11.11, 1; Stone Ginger 9.11, 2; Coy 10.12, 3. Also started: Jolly Friar, Loyola, and Detonator. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 18 l-ssec. Anniversary Handicap, _ 3. mile. — Gunboat 8.0, 1; Gwendolina 8.13, 2; Iranui S.lO, 3. Also started: King Post, 'White Cockade, Boutade, Astrakhan, and My Lawyer.
