ESTIMATES STATED TO BE FORTY AIILLIONS STERLING.
United Press Association— Copyright (Received February 25, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 25.
The newspaper “Engineering” states that the naval estimates will amount to 40 millions sterling. A battleship will be laid down a.t Portsmouth, another at Devonport, and two in private yards, in addition to those constructed at' the cost of Australia and New Zealand. Two others of the Boadicea class and two vessels of the Town class and 20 destroyers for the Home fleet will also be laid down, in addition to several destroyers for the colonial fleet.
[.The Boadicea is an unarmored turbine cruiser, of 3300 tons and 6 guns.]
