ANNUAL CONFLUENCE
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 25
The Methodist Conference this morning .was chiefly occupied with the appointment of 'various committees to consider the Synod’s recommendations, th« institution of Church, Foreign and Home mission funds, etc. Special interest attached to the election of the lay members’ stationing committee, each district in the Dominion having to he represented. The following were elected: —Auckland district, S. J. Ambury, J. E. Wheeler, T. W. Jones; Wanganui, W. G. Bassett, E. Dixon; Wellington, G. Tiller, C. E. Daniell; Nelson. A. A. Lucas, E. H. Penny; Canterbury, G. H. Blackwell, J. A. riesher,.. C. S. Howard; Otago, J. B. Shacklock, E. Rosevear. Immediately after this election the conference adjourned, till Saturday morning, the rest of the daj' being occupied with committee work.
