ASSAILANTS ESCAPE IN TAXI-CAB

NEW YORK, Feb. 27
Five men hired a taxicab in Broadway, New York, and drove to a West side saloon. They called out- a man who was within, and one of the occupants of the cab stabbed him. The others, with revolvers ,pointed at- the chaffeur’s head-, forced the chaffeur to drive them full speed. The man died without identifying the murderers, and the police have been unable- to trace them.
