Mi-. ,1. R, Kirk, who returned from south on Saturday morning, left town lor Tologa Bay yesterday morning on a visit connected with his profession. Much sympathy is being expressed for Mr. F. T. Faram. of Te Arai, in ch 0 bereavement lie. suffered yesterday by the death cf his wTFe', which occurred in the public hospital yesterday about noon. Mrs. Faram, who was suffering from an internal complaint, was admitted to the institution in the early hours of yesterday morning, and 1 despite an ■almost immediate operation, passed away some hours later.
Mr. A. Crawford, Inspector of Schools for the Nelson district, who has been spending a holiday in Gisborne. returns south hv the steamer to-night. The following passengers arrived in Gisborne b.v Messrs R oil stone and Sons’ coaches yesterday afternoon :—From Alorc'e. Rev. TV. Grant and M. Manson : from Tdoga Bay, Misses Edwards ami Reeves. Mrs. Geo. Fitzgerahl, Messrs M. Livingstene and G. Clifton; from Pnknrne. Mr. Booth .
