GISBORNE OIL COMPANY.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS

The meeting of directors of the Gisborne Oil Company, which had been adjourned since Friday, was held on Saturday, Mr TV. D. Lysnar presiding. An application from Mr McDonald, the manager at the bore, to be relieved of his duties, owing to ill-health, was considered.

It was decided that ihe request he acceded t 6, arid that Air T oung,*, the chief assistant, be placed in. charge. Mr Young is said to he a very capable man, with considerable experience in the putting down of bores. It was stated that lifting operations at the bore were proceeding fairly satisfactorily, although the pipes were held stiffly, and there was a .good deal of trouble being caused through friction. It was further decided that a geneva! meeting of shareholders be held at an earlv date in order that the financial position of the company might he placed before them. The meeting will also consider the question of authorising a further issue of shares, and amend articles of the company in order to remove the restriction limiting the number of shares any one shareholder may hold in one issue.
