EAST COAST STEAMSHIP SERVICE
REPORTED CONSTRUCTION OF NEW COMPANY. [Pun Press Association.! AUCKLAND, March 9. It- is understood that steps have been taken for the formation of a steamship company to provide a service on the East Coast, and that Captain .Binclor, the representative of the promoters, left by the Victoria on Monday to join the. Oranto, on route for London, where lie will complete arrangements for acquiring the necessary steamers.
The new company will, it is understood, be known as the Dominion Steamship Company of New Zealand, and the first steamer, which will be called the Maranui. is expected to arrive here in September next.
