Co.’s Tarawera arrived from South yesterday .morning, and left later for Auckland, via Tokorun ru Bay. She returns on Sunday afternoon ‘and leaves for South in the evening. The Canterbury Shipping Co.’s Breeze arrived early yesterday morning from South. She brought the following e.'irso :—From Dunedin, 6 sacks oatmeal, 30 (200’s) flour, 7 package--r-Hviges, 8 cases tea; from Oamaru, 100 sucks, 60 (100’s) 40 (50's) 22 (ISO’s) flour. 144 sacks potatoes; from Lyttelton, 10 sacks oatina, 100 (2L*ipv). 40 (100’s), 80 (50’s), and 30 sacks flour, 15 sacks oats, 26 sacks bran, 10 sacks pollard, and sundries; from Timaru, 'Sufi sacks and 28 (50’s) flour, 20 sacks oatmeal, 50 sacks pollard, 200 sacks oats, 190 pieces Oregon timber; -ront Wellington, a quantity 0 f sundries. ' -»<; Breeze is expected to leave for Pigeon Bay this evening with 1500 sheep. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall left for Auckland yesterday afternoon. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Burn arrives from Napier this morning and returns this, evening. The Union S.S. -Co.’s Flora reaches Napier to-day with 850 tons of coal ■from Westport. She should arrive here on. Sunday, leaving the same day for Coast bays and Auckland. The Union S.S. Co.’s Monowai left Lyttelton last evening, leaves Wellington to-day, and should work Napier and Gisborne to-morrow. The. last launch has been fixed for 7 p.in. .in the meantime. The Tyser Co.’s Tomoana is due from "Wanganui to-day for Home, loading. The Union S.S. Co. advises that the increase made on freight charges duri:r the strike has been reduced from 25 to 10 per cent, from to-day. The increase on passage rates remains unaltered in the meantime. There will be an alteration in the Union Co.’s timetable at Easter. The Hauroto, leaving Dunedin on March 25, will remain at Lyttelton until Monday, 28th, and will work Na.pier and Gisborne on "Wednesday, 3C>th. The Monowai will be a day early from south, She leaves Napier early on Friday morning, the 25th, and reaches here that evening. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. s Oaten, is due from South on Tuesday for Home loading. The Rirnutaka," which arrived from London yesterday, brought 8_ saloon, 2.9 second saloon, and 111 third class passengers. The assisted immigrants numbered 30, 19 adults and 11 children.
