The final settlement of many valuable properties is impossible. ACTRESS SUING FOR DIVORCE. The “Central News” New York correspondent reports that May Yohc is obtaining a divorce from P. Strong, of Oregon City. ANOTHER EMBEZZLER. Cnren Martin, acting secretary of the Royal Society of British Artists, has been sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment in-the second division for embezzlement. GERMAN ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION. Members of the British Geographical Society interviewed deprecate Lieutenant Filclmer’s proposed German expedition devoting its energy to a region where other expeditions have planned routes. KILLING THE SAHIBS. CALCUTTA, March 9. Kanare, giving evidence, said he thought the killing of the sahibs (masters) would give the people justice. He now regretted killing Mr. Jackson, a good man, without cause. A FATAL EXPLOSION. An explosion in a starch factory at Mobr, India, caused the death of eight persons, and 17 wore injured, many fatally. MADGE TITHERIDGE MARRIES. PRETORIA, March 9. Madge Titheridge, daughter of -Mr. G. T. Titheridge, the well-known acte \ has been married to Mr. Charles Quartermaine, an actor. A GREAT YACHT RACE. NEW YORK, 31 arch 9. The Atlantic Yacht Club has offered a 50€0-dollar trophy, called t-li'e President’s cup, for an international race from Europe to Sandy Hook in the summer of 1911.
