ANNUAL MEETING
[Urn Press Association. I . ' PALMERSTON N., March 11. The New Zealand Master Bakers’ Association concluded its annual meeting her© to-day, when the following new officers were elected:—President, Air. J. Thorton Smerdon (Auckland); vicepresident, Mr. C. 3. Knox (Auckland); treasurer. Mr. A. Kent (Auckland); committee, Messrs W. Buchanan, J. Till, B. Lane, T. Hosking (all of Auckland). A decision to change the whole executive from Wellington tn Auckland was made, the retiring president, Mr. W. A. Ivcllow deciding that h© could not accept re-election. . Mr. Kellow was the founder of the Association, which lie lias conducted for the past nine yOtirs. A .lio&rty vote of was passed to him for his services. The Association deckled to ask the Government that the test of a loaf should be the weight of dough used and not of the loaf itself.
