ANDREW BLACK CONCERT’S

To-nighib at His Majesty’s Theatre the Andrew Black Concert Company will give their first performance. Years ago, at Home. Mi* Andrew Black made his first triumph, and he has appeared in London, Paris and the other prin-cipal-musical centres, with much success. Partly owing .to has- fine original tnaininig, partly to his method, and partly to his avoidance, of works unsuitable, Andrew Black wonderfully preserved the freshness of hiis voice, and his beautiful execution. To-night’s prograntane will contain, many special features. Andrew Black will sing himself in the first part the bracketed muirlbers “I hear you calling me” (Marshall) and “Viktoria, Victoria” (Carissimi), and “To Anthea” (Ha.ttom), and “Nou Piu Audrai” (Mozart). In the second half the celebrated baritone’s name is opposito “Turn, ye to Me,” and “The Cameron Men.” Miss lley Gross (contralto) and Miss Lilian Delaney (pianist© and accompanist©) mil also be heard in picked numbers. Herr Anton Tschaikov, the young violin virtu esc* of whom the -London and Sydney press have spoken inmost laudatory terms, will 1 render Mendelssohn’s “Andante and Finale” (Concerto) and Vieusotenips’ “Balillade and Polonaise.” A number for both violin and piano) mil' also lx> given by Herr Tsehaikov and Miss Lilian Delaney. Seats may be reserved at. Miller’s corner, where the bc,x plan is on view, and as the Wellington “Evening Post” of Tuesday last says, “any wise- man who loves music will break whatever engagement might interfere, and go along.’’
