FIREMEN’S DISPUTE. United Press Association— Copyright NEW YORK, March 15. The American railway firemen’s demand for the control of promotion has been rejected. Tlie Federal Government -has consented to mediate in regard to the American firemen’s strike. THE PHILADELPHIA STRIKE. The Philadelphia strikers have issued a proclamation calling on all working men in the country to withdraw their deposits from the banks. The strikers have two millions sterling hanked in Philadelphia alone.
