THE SYDNEY TRAGEDY. (Received March 16, 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 16. Lovett, when charged with the murder of his wife, swooned in the dock, and was remanded till after the inquest. THE FEDERAL ELECTIONS. Nominations for the Federal elections closed to-dav. Measrs Glynn (Attor-ney-General); Chapman (New South Wales), and Archibald (ex-Leader of the South Australian State Labor party) have been returned' unopposed. A MURDERER EXECUTED. ADELAIDE, March 16. Robins was executed to-day for the murder of Owe ns worth on December 24th. Death was instantaneous. A RUNAWAY TRAIN. (Received March 17, 12.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 16. A ballast train bolted after leaving Ard Glen, near Munrundi, ran into a dead-end, and fifteen trucks toppled over an embankment. The driver, Higgins, was seriously hurt, and the firemen sustained minor injuries.
