Mr. Roosevelt, with his wife and daughter, are staying at tlie Palace at Khartoum. The -ex-President inspected the battlefields round the city, and addressed the students at Gordon College. He said lie was greatly impressed with -the wonderful results of British rule, and was particularly pleased with the palatial houses and gardens of Khartoum.
