GISBORNE: CLUB

One of the most enjoyable* tennis af. temoons was held at idle Kaiti courts yesterdav the occasion being a competition for a trophy donated by Mr. R. Uliek Burke. There was a very largo attendance of players, and the five courts were being used for match play. Partners were drawn for, and the han_ dicapping made many of the games very close, some of them being deuce. Afternoon tea. which was supplied by the. ladies, added much to the enjoyment of the afternoon.
