A year ago one Robert Lightburn, a resident of Rookliope, near Durham, received an anonymous request from Australia to search for a certain marriage certificate. He has now received '£looo' for his services. It appears that a young woman emigrated to Melbourne sixty years ago, and there married the son of her wealthy employer, under a nickname. A threatened lawsuit over her father-in-law’s money necessitated proof that the nick, name was not the woman’s real name.
