Draught maxes realised: Wylie’s 60 to 70] gns, Chrystal’s 90 to 100 gns, Grant’s 47] to 80 gns, and others 62 to 70 gns. In Clydesdales, Boag’s Young Kate brought 180 gns. In regard to mares by.the same owner, Jean, brought 137] gns, and others ranged from 60 to 67 gns. The Clydesdale mares of Bourke, U'paki, brought 40 to 52 gns. NEW ZEALANDER DIES AT SEA. MELBOURNE, March 30. Mr. Murley, a passenger by the Mongolia from Auckland, died aboard the vessel of syncope.

SMALLPOX ON THE OTWAY

A second-class passenger, who arrived aboard the Otway, bound for .New Zealand, is under observation by the health officers. Another third-class passenger, in quarantine at •Fremantle, has developed smallpox in a modified form.
