A GREAT BORDER LEICESTER
Siys tho “New Zealand Times;” Mrs. J. D. Ormond’s imported Border Leicester ram lias been landed from quarantine and has been forwarded to Karamu. the home of the noted Hawke’s Bay Border flock. He is probably the best balanced sheep of the breed that has been imported. He is on short legs’ .midis of immense substance. His strong neck veins carry his good head perfectly. The 1 face and leg hair is of very fine quality and he has a good even skin, carried up to the ears and well down thy points and around the belly. Generally he is as even .as a book leaf and handles particularly well. To ho critical his eye might he a little more prominent, hut lie walks with a style that d'enotes the perfect gentleman lie is. -/The ram is not only an acquisition to the Karamu flock, hut is a welcome addition to the Border Leicester blood of the Dominion. His condition on landing from quarantine reflects credit on the Department of Agriculture.
