The attendance was large, and some excellent racing was witnessed. Twenty-five bookmakers were licensed. With three furlongs to go Maori King and Los Angelos led, and, at the distance, this order was maintained, with Birkdale creeping up, and Lady Medallist running well on the inside, the latter winning a good race by a length. Maori King was a length and a half away, being third. Time, 2min 6 3-ssec.
