FREEZING WORKS SPORTS. In connection with the _ Freezing Works Sports, to he held at- Kaitaratahi to-day, the following omissions from: the published list of handicaps have been notified by the hon. secretary:—One mile (open): Ohiney, Brown. Maiden •Handicap (open): L. Clark, 6yds. Slaughtermen’s Race: D. Gregg, 6yds; T. Hunt, 7yds. NAPIER CALEDONIAN SPORTS. [Per press association.! NAPIER, Feb. 22. The annual Caledonian sports meeting was held on the Recreation Grmn l to-day, when there was a record attendance, about 5000 people being on the ground. v Sturm won the 120yds nu ; .l 22 by Os handicaps in 11 2-ssec and 21 2-ss< c from 12yds and 21yds respectively. A. Greig, 40yds, won the 440yds handicap in 49sec, Trembath, from scratch, running a good third. His time was 50sec. Hurston, from 45yds, won the amateur quarter-mile, also in 49see, from Harding, scratch, the latter’s time being a tick over Slsec. L. C. McLachlan, 15yds. won the half-mile, and C. R. Redward, 70yds, won the mile in 4min 23 3-ssec, Campbell, scratch, being second.. Chapman and Miller won the one mile and two miles bicycle handicaps respectively. R.
