GISBORNE. CLUB
A wel 1 contested and very interesting match foolc place oh the green of the Gisborne Bowling Club yesterday afternoon between rinks skipped by the Hon. J. Carroll and. Mr. E. 11. Barber, the latte- winning by four points. The. players and scores were as follows : Brown, Burton, Ponsford, Barber (skip) 24 beat Zacliariah, W. Pet-tie, “Jones,” Carroll (skip) 20. The play was of a very high order-, manv excellent heads being put_up. A match in the Handicap Pairs was also played, Paltridge and Maher beating Brown and R. G. Crawford bv 22 to " IS. Each pair received the same handicap (8 points), which were not added to the scores.
-Entries for the Handicap Fours, Champion Singles, and Colts’ Single® of the. Gisborne Club are to close on March 2 M.
